Cancellation Policy

Group Classes and Special Seminars

Although we encourage you to register in advance, we realize that the best made plans may be disrupted. A deposit covering 50% of your class is payable on registration. This registration fee for group classes and special seminars is non-refundable and also not transferable. We very much appreciate your understanding that we will hold your spot making it unavailable to others.

Private Sessions

These sessions are more flexible as they are one on one. Private sessions must be scheduled within 3 months of start date. Changes to your appointment must be made at least 48 hours prior to your lesson. The cost of the lesson will be fully charged if cancellation is made with less than 48 hours notice.

Board Training

As our trainers only take one board train client at a time, we have a cancellation policy that reflects the nature of this exclusive service.

A 50% deposit is required for all bookings during peak periods such as major holidays, holiday weekends, and during the summer. This deposit is non refundable if cancellation is made less than 7 days before expected arrival.

We recommend a minimum of 5 days for all board and train clients. Results are dependent on continued adherence to the instructions of the trainer. As with all training, it is up to the owner to continue the training at home and modify their behavior to continue the good work the trainer has started.

Agreement to Hold Harmless and Assumption of Risk

All payments will be accepted in cash, check or credit card. A processing fee of $4 or 8% (whichever is greater) will be added to your charge. Checks returned due to insufficient funds will result in a $34 fee and all further payments from client must be made in cash.

I waive all legal rights against and release City Sit Stay, its owners, employees and/or agents from all liability of any nature for injury or damage which I, members of my family, my dog(s), or other guests who may attend (collectively referred to as Attendees) may suffer, including, but not without limitation, any injury or damage resulting from (a) the actions (including but not limited to acts of negligence) of City Sit Stay or person or dog attending any obedience class, a training activity, private session or any other activity of City Sit Stay on the training grounds of City Sit Stay, the area surrounding the training grounds, or at the private residence of the client (2) any advice or instruction given by City Sit Stay to me or any Attendees.

As a standard procedure, and following the declaration to me by City Sit Stay that attendance at the Classes may pose risks to myself and other Attendees due to the aggressive behaviour (such as dog bite) of some dogs which may be difficult for the handler to control, I waive my legal rights and release City Sit Stay from any and all liabilities. I fully understand and have been informed by City Sit Stay that in spite of the greatest care in handling, that regardless of the excellent training received, a dog always has the tendency to bite particularly when it feels threatened.

I am aware and acknowledge that City Sit Stay offers instruction in the area of dog training and is not a place of recreation. With this understanding, I waive my legal rights and release City Sit Stay voluntarily and without representations. I further acknowledge that City Sit Stay has made no representations, guarantees, or implied or express promises as to the outcomes of the participation of me or any of the attendees in the classes. Further, in consideration of and to encourage City Sit Stay to accept me and my dog into my selected training program, I agree to indemnify and hold City Sit Stay harmless from any and all claims, including claims by any attendee that is the result of any action by any dog(s), including my own.

I acknowledge that City Sit Stay has outlined the financial commitments regarding all aspect pertaining to fees for classes or private lessons, as well as outlined all policies regarding make-up classes or changing of courses.

By using the services of City Sit Stay, I AGREE TO ALL OF THE PROVISIONS CONTAINED ABOVE.
