The Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Program is a 10 step certification class provided through the American Kennel Club (AKC) that rewards dogs that are proven to have good manners.

CGC Certification emphasizes the importance of responsible ownership and It is the first advisable step towards certifying your dog as a therapy dog.

The Canine Good Citizen certification is becoming increasingly recognized by landlords in NYC as an indication of a well behaved dog.

The CGC class is a 6-week course that will cover basic commands and everything needed to prepare you and your dog for the CGC evaluation. You are advised to visit www.akc.org/events/cgc for a listing of what will be covered in the class. One CGC evaluation is included in the cost of the class.

We offer CGC evaluations, which take place on the first Sunday of each month and advance sign-up is required.

Duration: 6 weekly sessions; 60 minutes per class.

Cost: $350.00 per pup for the 6 week course.
